Russian Puppet is a song I wrote in 2019. At the time, my brain was filled with thoughts related to the Russia Trump affair. I was watching and reading about it, and probably because of it, this song came to me.

The emotions behind this song are disgust, anger, disappointment, and an anxiety which had been accumulating since the 2016 election campaigns.

Initially, I thought this song would be an intimate quiet folk song, but Eric Leavell pushed me to go for something a bit harsher, which I really appreciate today.

The art provided by Dylan Garrett Smith aligns beautifully with the sinister thoughts and feelings I have had since 2016.

Very grateful to both of these humans for their passion, time and support.
